Abstract

As Socrates claimed, ‘the unexamined life is not worth living’ (Moncur, 2010), and if reflection was to have boundaries it could be argued that life may not be fully examined and reflection would not be effective in terms of both personal and professional practice. This is where the impetus for writing this major independent study comes from my own experiences and how reflection has developed my personal and professional development, particularly over the past decade.
