Abstract
The rotor dynamic theory is applied to improve the traditional machine fault diagnostic and holo-spectrum analyzing method. A dynamic-holo-spectrum decomposition technique is thus advanced for describing the high frequency components of the vibration signals. Insight is gained with the theoretical basis of the decomposition principle as applied to the problem at hand.
