Abstract
Durante el año 2005, el Proyecto Antonio Nariño3 PAN realizó un monitoreo de las informaciones periodísticas sobre el conflicto armado en Colombia, en las emisiones de 10 noticieros de televisión correspondientes a tres canales nacionales (RCN, Caracol y Canal Uno), tres canales regionales (Tele Antioquia, Tele Pacífico y Tele Caribe) y un canal local (Citytv). El estudio pretendió indagar por la presencia o la ausencia de algunos estándares de calidad informativa en el cubrimiento del conflicto armado, mediante las dos siguientes preguntas de investigación: ¿Qué criterios de calidad periodística asociados a la imparcialidad, la pluralidad, la precisión, la claridad y la diversidad de fuentes, temas y puntos de vista están presentes o ausentes en las agendas de los noticieros de televisión que dan cuenta del conflicto armado interno? ¿Qué prácticas profesionales y condiciones sociales de producción noticiosa inciden en la calidad de la información sobre esta problemática?
