Abstract
Jeanette Appleton is primarily engaged in practice-based research, as well as in teaching. The collaboration between artist Appleton and the textile crafts team at the University of Huddersfield have developed a product called "Sow:sew". This needlefelt technique enables layers and forms to emerge and recede within Appleton's textiles. Appleton's work seeks to reflect on the relationship between cloth and land, between culture and nature.
