Abstract

The history of public relations in Latin America is relatively short compared with other parts of the world. While its specialization in financial communication is not well developed as of now, it is projected to have a very promising future. Nowadays, financial communication has a more tactical than strategic focus. The terrain is even more complicated in terms of investor relations, since that topic usually falls in the financial area and even in the legal area of Latin American corporations and is not often delegated to public relations.
