Abstract

A beautiful exhibition containing 24 large-scale prints from Yan Wang Preston's 'Forest' project opened on the 6th April 2019 at the acclaimed Side Gallery in Newcastle, UK. This is the first exhibition that encompasses images from all three chapters of the 'Forest' book. The show is installed at Side's historical building in the centre of Newcastle. The opening was attended by a large and enthusiastic crowd, including Side's loyal supporters, students, international scholars and critics. Yan and the exhibition's curator Liz Hingley delivered a talk before signing the Forest books to many collectors.
