N2 - This paper analyses the shortcomings of Gaussian filtering in practical engineering surface evaluation, introduces robust estimation theory, and proposes a new robust algorithm based on Gaussian filtering, which eliminates the influence of surface outliers on the efficiency of Gaussian filtering and improves the robustness of Gaussian filtering. The results of the example analysis show that the method can reliably obtain the evaluation benchmark and realize the distortion-free extraction and analysis of surface information. Compared with the traditional Gaussian filter, it is more convenient for the practical application of engineering surface evaluation.
