Abstract

Queuing of handoff requests algorithm and resource reserved handoff algorithm are two based algorithms for handoff. The two algorithms have shortages to support real-time traffic and high quality QoS. After two algorithms are analyzed, a new algorithm is developed. The new algorithm is called resource reserved with originating call queuing. It use adding buffer and distribute rationally cannel resource to reduce blocking probability of originating and handoff. The mathematic models of new algorithm are built; results of calculation have been got. The advantage of new algorithm was clearly reflected by calculation.
