Abstract
This chapter addresses the recent developments in international human rights law regarding the theory and application if genocide denial laws with emphasis on national legal systems across Europe as well as EU law. In that respect, a particular focus is placed on the case law of the European Court of Human Rights and the jurisprudence of the UN Human Rights Committee which has addressed the matter in both case law and its General Comments.
