Abstract

The work shown here 'Fulford in Fog' at Project 4 Gallery, are a selection of 6 photographs from a series of 40 photographs taken during a walk in the Staffordshire landscape in thick fog.

The photographs capture instances of emergence and disappearance within the landscape. As the fog closes in, the topography is abstracted both visually and contextually. The camera is moving - while the fog obliterates the past and hides the future - offering only the caption of a moment of stillness within the perpetual motion of the walk.

In Season, is a group show featuring small-scale, recent works from a selection of gallery artists, at the Project 4 Gallery, Washington DC, USA. This survey of work reveals themes explored throughout Project 4's programming and looks forward to future exhibitions. In Season will feature a variety of media and showcase works by Margaret Boozer, Beau Chamberlain, Christine Gray, Lisa Kellner, Tricia Keightley, Thomas Müller, Ellington Robinson, Foon Sham, Jill Townsley, and Paul Villinski.
