Abstract
There is no doubting the importance of the role played by the construction and property industries as being crucial to the development of the economy of any country. Worldwide, these industries employ more than a hundred million people and produce the environment in which we all live and work. The modern context of a rapidly changing society and economy leads to a need to impose a logical view of the economic factors at work in a constantly developing built environment.
