Abstract
When maps of knowledge are displayed, they observe many more things than the traces of knowledge that is explored. The evolution of problems and hesitations in their attempts to explanation, lines of thought stand out that are imposed and others that slowly emerge to occupy a landscape populated by new worries. But the maps, in addition to being witnesses of places, are representations of the history, figurations of a changing society and of looks that transform. Enough admire the record of physical maps, from the first that were drawn in planispheres and spheres, even those that can be visited on Google, to recognize to what extent what they show, in addition of territories, they are glances on them and the power of name and inhabit them.
