Management and leadership for support workers

Abstract

In this article, the two important roles of manager and leader within the workplace will be examined. The differences between the two terms will be discussed, and it will be demonstrated that everyone, no matter their official job role, can be a leader. Support staff play a vital role in supporting and assisting managers and leaders in the smooth running of the care setting for the benefit of all patients/clients, families/carers and staff in the delivery of high quality care.
