Abstract

This is the last in a series of three papers which have attempted to highlight the changes which have taken place in the UK chemical industry's 'research and development confidence level' between the mid 1950s and the early 1980s. In the first two papers, the methodology associated with the study was discussed and the period up to the early 1970s was surveyed.
