Abstract

Radio frequency identification (RFID) technology provides a way to track and trace objects in a large number of Internet of Things (IoT) applications. The unique characteristics of massive RFID data pose many challenges and one of such challenge centers on uncertainties. In this paper, we briefly review the characteristics of uncertain RFID data. We then survey the existing techniques for processing uncertain RFID information and highlight some research opportunities in managing uncertainties of RFID-enabled applications.
