Abstract

The Meet Music Code Festival is dedicated to computer music and the converging relationships between electronic music, coding and digital art. Produced by OGGIMUSICA in collaboration with the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana, LuganoMusica and, starting this year, with the participation of the Construction Environment Department and design (SUPSI_DACD).

Performances, masterclasses, workshops and talks alternate in different spaces between Lugano and Mendrisio (Conservatory of Italian Switzerland, Theater Studio - LAC, Campus SUPSI_DACD), thus creating possible meetings and networks of relationships between digital artists, musicians, researchers, designers, programmers and computer-music enthusiasts. A glimpse, yes artistic and technical, on the possible synergies between digital instruments and the art of sounds.

In one set Pierre Alexandre improvises with his bass and his laptop, a variation/remix/recomposition of the material of his latest album released on Empreintes DIGITALes: 'quatre poèmes'.
