Abstract

This chapter examines how female Middle Eastern artists rallied against the sustained affectual attack on Middle Eastern female agency and their depiction within the Western world by offering change and a unique voice which speaks to give shape to the complex dichotomy between religious and secular feminism in the Middle East.
