N2 - Selected by Peter Florence, Director, Hay Festivals and Amanda Popham, renowned ceramicist and Member of the Devon Guild, this exhibition shows the work of regional, national and international artist-makers, working in disciplines of contemporary craft, who are directly influenced by words.Narrative Remains explores the relationships between stories, poems, prose or quotes and the chosen makers' work. The exhibition shows the imagination engendered by words and stories through the creation of contemporary craft. Work on show includes installations, photography, print, collage, enamel, ceramics and textiles. In these works the narrative emerges in the spaces between the pieces as well as between the viewer and the work, opening up more possibilities for extending the storytelling.
