Abstract

In 2013 Jade Lord gave up the use of a washing machine for one year. Having an understanding of the environmental impacts of laundry, she wanted to challenge herself to question each act of laundering clothes.

‘I wanted to open up the laundry process, experiment with it, and challenge myself by removing some of the tools on which I had become reliant.’
