Abstract

The following work presents a spiral geometry antenna operating at 54 MHz for the application of non-invasive sensing of lightning strikes in grounding mesh. The antenna uses the F R4 dielectric, allowing low manufacturing costs and increased accessibility, the structure presents a reflection parameter S11 of -18.3 dB at the desired frequency of 54 MHz, the analysis of the results using a current pulse generator and the developed antenna demonstrate that the structure fulfills the objective of non-invasive monitoring lighting strikes in a ground mesh.
