Abstract
The current study was aimed at finding the role of employee empowerment in increasing organizational commitment and reducing counterproductive work behavior. A purposive sample of 302 respondents from the call centers of Pakistan was selected for the study. Structural equation modeling technique was used to test the hypotheses. The results exhibit that employee empowerment is significantly and positively associated with organizational commitment. The results also exhibit negative and significant impact of employee empowerment on counterproductive work behaviors. Implications of these findings are discussed, and suggestions are made for future research.
