Abstract

Access to medicine is a major challenge faced by health policy makers around the world. Pharmaceutical company sponsored medication assistance program is a program offered for the needy patients at lower cost or at no cost. This chapter explores different types of pharmaceutical company sponsored medication assistance programs and the impact it has on patient health outcomes and healthcare costs.
