Abstract

This chapter narrates and outlines key developments in the time line of pharmacy practice and the underpinning and associated research. It also synthesizes the definitions about pharmacy practice research from different key documents that describe practice research and its elements. The three major elements that were identified include health services research, medicines use, and the patient-centered care. The chapter describes the keywords, dynamics, and underlying principles.
