Compares formal planned settlement schemes before and after the Revolution of 1974, when resettlement attained a higher priority. The expenditure on resettlement has increased 26-fold and the number of households relocated increased 14-fold between 1973 and 1980. Long-distance resettlement has grown in importance. - M.J.Shepperdson (CDS)
