Abstract

Both in the solid state and in solution, the complex, [(PPh₃)Ag(HCB₁₁Me₁₁)] displays significant intermolecular Ag ⋯ H₃C interactions. This complex serves as a model for the interaction between a d¹⁰ metal center and an alkane.
