Put The Needle On The Record

Audio artefact created from practice of field recording, walking and dragging (a luggage bag) in the city. The luggage bag acts as a stylus, playing the 'record' of the city's past (Calvino, 1993). Field recordings are therefore made of 'the sound of the street' played by the stylus; the recordings are pressed into vinyl and released as a 12" record of the street. Recordings are from various cities in America.
