Abstract

In Brazil, the challenge is significant: in recent years, there has been an increase in waste generation, and the collection and recycling network still does not reach all cities. Despite the approval of the National Solid Waste Policy, the country still needs to make progress in the issue of its correct management. This is a challenge not only for the government, but also for Brazilian industry. Organizations can form networks, taking advantage of the skills of each participant. This paper presents two case studies of companies in Brazil that have formed networks for the sustainable management and use of solid waste. An exploratory qualitative study was conducted. As a result, practices and network arrangements were presented that corroborate claims about the benefits of working together in this way.
