Abstract

ISO/TC213 on GPS has been working towards harmonizing previously standardized practices in tolerancing and related metrology, and published the next generation of the GPS language now. The masterplan structure of the improved GPS system is constructed with a matrix model, which includes four kinds of GPS standards, fundamental, global, general and complement GPS standards. ISO/TC213 will offer the full technical specifications of the product designing, manufacturing, verification and evaluation, which are based on simplicity and minimization of total cost. In this paper, we analyzed the matrix model of the improved GPS standards, and presented the rules of preparing standards, key technologies as well as the research subjects on the new GPS.
