Abstract

This document is a summary of two reports: The Review of Nursing Regulation: Licensing and Relicensing in Ghana report produced by the University of Huddersfield and the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and the Review of Midwifery Regulation in Ghana report produced by the International Confederation of Midwives. The work to produce these reports was undertaken in 2022, under the first phase of the Building the Future International Health Workforce (BFIW) programme. Under this programme, funded by the Department of Health and Social Care, the Tropical Health and Education Trust (THET), together with its technical partner, the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) are working in partnership with Ghanaian health system stakeholders to strengthen the health workforce and health systems.
