Abstract

Ribalta Experimental Film Festival is a contest for short-length experimental films. Focussing on short films in order to give voice to young, non-institutional, explorational cinema. The kind of cinema that silently prepares the future of the "seventh art", by experimenting upon new forms of expression.

The festival took place on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 May 2021. Where: in Vignola , in the province of Modena, with in-person screenings, while respecting safety protocols and procedures, at the Bristol cinema . With an opening evening on Friday 28th: ​​at 8 pm introduction and greetings at the Ribalta Circle, from 10 pm screening of 3 of the 44 short films in competition. Quality guaranteed by the young but already very competent (and passionate) artistic director of the REFF Giovanni Sabattini.
