Abstract
Part alignment is an important step of automatic optical inspection for printed circuit board. By using the geometric symmetry of a circle, a robust subpixel algorithm for the center of circle detecting is presented. The measuring error might be less than 0.01 pixel for noise-free images. The experimental results show that the algorithm has a relative small bias in the presence of noise.
