Abstract

Scope - Exploring the Composition Process" is a unique opportunity to follow the process of creating a work through a commented workshop concert: Keitaro Takahashi has worked with UMS 'n JIP for several years and has worked with the series' Surge' in close collaboration with the well-known duo - exemplary in the task of adequately writing for the ensemble with the Küng Subbass recorder, a 2 meter instrument based on a historical model. Gradually, the composer approaches the instruments, first exploring different ways to amplify them, developing further ways, integrate these results into live-electronic processes to finally expand the field of research and integrate the video layer. The different stages of this musical research are presented in this concert.
Performances of Surge I, Surge II and Surge III.
