Abstract

The Social Movements for Health Programme, funded by Nesta and The Dunhill Medical Trust, supported seven emerging social movements to grow their influence and impact on health and social care. Dr Nicola Stenberg and the Icarus Collective were commissioned to be Learning Partners for the programme. Interviews and focus groups were conducted with movement leaders and activists to follow their progress over an 18-month period in 2019/20. A report, sharing the learning about the successes and failures of the programme, was published by Nesta in November 2020.
