Abstract

A preliminary study was performed at the Technical University of Sofia, Bulgaria, on university students' attitudes relative to the use of AI-tools in foreign language learning on 5G-equipped smartphones. It used a 21-item questionnaire, with most questions answered on a 5-point Likert scale. The students of this study were following lectures on English terminology in applied mathematics, informatics and software, and cyber security. The results of the questionnaire are analyzed and evaluated in detail and reveal interesting tendencies in the AI-assisted language learning field.
