Abstract

In the last 18 months major changes have taken place in the studio at Huddersfield Polytechnic. The interior of the building has been completely redesigned to provide four studios in the main block, in addition to a small recording studio attached to ST. Paul's Hall. New hardware and software has been bought. The Polytechnic is undertaking a major review of the way electro-acoustic music is taught and of its place within a music degree. The studio is part of a large Music Department (with over 200 music undergraduates) and there is increasing demand for use of the studios.
