Abstract
The study examines the impact of businesses on the rights and welfare of children in Africa. It reviews the normative framework which encompasses a variety of standards of different natures, both binding regulations and voluntary commitments, international and regional norms sometimes integrated with varying degrees of success into national legislations. The study concludes with a series of recommendations for Member States, businesses, National Human Rights Institutions, and Civil Society Organizations to ensure the protection of children's rights in the context of business.
