Abstract
Featuring in the exhibition THREAD REPUBLIC CIC 2025 Exhibition: TEXTILE CITIZENS: BEYOND CONSUMERISM, this outfit explores the reconstructed aesthetic of garment waste through flat pattern cutting, sampling, and three-dimensional draping techniques, using denim remnants directly on the stand.
Constructed from four pairs of jeans, a dungaree dress (sourced from Oxfam Batley Wastesaver), the artefact explores how reject garments can be reused responding to the consumer mindset.
