Abstract

This chapter provides an overview of the archaeological remains from the Anglo-Saxon, medieval and postmedieval periods and is divided into phases of activity. As with chapter 2, the phasing used here is informed by the full range of artefactual and stratigraphic data collected through the archaeological investigations. Stratigraphic matrices have been created and used to define the overall site phasing and to highlight any obvious residual finds.
