Abstract
This article examines the first 12 months (the common foundation programme) of a problem-based learning curriculum in an adult-branch nursing diploma programme based at the school of nursing at the University of Salford. An overview of the curriculum and operational issues of all three branches of the nursing diploma is given before examining an evaluation of adult branch programme.
