Abstract
A latest process to construct Pelton runners from individual components is discussed. Monoblock casting is found to be the most common and reliable structural approach to use in the Pelton technology. Monoblock production method rely on extensive and hand finishing of the runner. The runner consist of individual buckets produced by any suitable process clamped between two opposing hubs and these buckets have conventional hydraulic surfaces and incorporates a wedge shaped root.
