Abstract

This chapter provides an overview of the archaeological remains from the Mesolithic to Roman periods and is presented chronologically. The full range of artefact and stratigraphic data collected through the archaeological investigations informs the phasing used in this book. Stratigraphic matrices have been created and used to define the overall site phasing and to highlight any obvious residual finds. The interactive map of features and deposits created under Longstanton GIS Project has been invaluable in facilitating a full and comprehensive narrative of the sites as a whole, and it is from the ArcGIS map that the phased figures have been….
