Abstract

The VI World Textile Art Biennial integrated diverse media that are an active part of the contemporary arts. It intends to re-signify the concept of Textile Art; strengthening diverse strands of research, challenging categories but still maintaining Textile as the integrating concept.

The VI Biennial 2011 was attended by artists from more than 65 countries. The events were held in 3 cities: Mexico City, Oaxaca and Xalapa, with a total of 200,000 visitors.

My video WOW created in collaboration with Steve Swindells was selected for the biennial in the Salon de Arte Textile Temporal.
