The seven tracks on the album continue from previous albums Fifth Nature and Soludenia drawing on the paintings of Zdzisław Beksiński. This work deals specifically with the concept of time as outlined by Sam Vaknin in his PhD. Chronon Field Theory was developed by Sam Vaknin in his PhD (1982) ‘Time Asymmetry Re-Visited’ (Pacific Western University) who proposed the chronon as a time ‘atom’ with time as a fifth force. He writes, ‘I propose that what we call ‘time’ is the interaction between chronons in a field. The field is time itself.’ The concept of time as a force and a field has since been developed extensively in theoretical physics. The narrative developed around these ideas allows for an extensive exploration of sound design possibilities within the field of dark ambient and gothic soundscapes.
