Abstract

We’re All In It Together: Poems for a DisUnited Kingdom, is an anthology of new poetry that explores the state of the nation. What does it mean, post-empire, post-Brexit, to be British? How is national identity complicated by notions of class, race, gender and individualism?

In this book you will find poems that address these ideas through striking or ingenious images, sideways glances, humour, lexical virtuosity and a refusal to flinch at controversial subjects.

We’re All In It Together includes poems from a range of writers: from established poets with national and international reputations, to poetic first-timers, and everything else in-between. An anthology that dazzles, exhilarates, and provokes. And at times, tosses a grenade.

Anthology includes: Suna Afshan, Gerry Cambridge, Ian Duhig, Ashley Hickson-Lovence, Safia Khan, MacGillivray, Joelle Taylor, Rory Waterman, and many others.
