Abstract

The title of this chapter was inspired by a 2007 poster campaign by Wolverhampton
City Council with the slogan ‘Wolverhampton hates kerb crawling. So get out and
stay out.’1 Such strong language and imagery was perplexing to us as researchers
and symbolised a new phase in prostitution policy and management in the UK.
