Abstract

Title of entry: Zero Waste. Garments were created using a single width of natural undyed British wool cloth. The construction was such that the garments could be easily disassembled at end of life. The superior quality of the cloth allowed for longevity of use and therefore further garments could be made from the cloth. This PhD project is in the early stages of research and will subsequently be developed further. The aim is to demonstrate how garments can be made with no waste and at the end of life have a use which is of the same, if not greater value.
