This thesis aimed to produce a furnace for sintering ceramic samples with a linear dimension from 20 mm to 50 mm. The installation is designed for sintering ceramic samples in a controlled atmosphere, without and with compression. The design was significantly complicated by the fact that the furnace should be located in the vacuum chamber for controlled environment sintering. The design of the mechanics includes the possibility of using Spark Plasma Sintering technology. The Arduino Mega microcontroller controls the furnace system receiving commands from the Raspberry Pi microcomputer through the Serial Port. The desktop application for the Raspberry Pi is written in Python using the Tkinter graphics library and is used for the furnace process setting and sintering data collection. The developed program saves data received from the Arduino to a CSV format file.
